Company History

We originally worked for Downs Surgical (Aesculap/B Braun) as technicains and were made redundant in 2001. After some market reaserch we found there was a requirement for a small company in the south east who specailize in the service and repair of Rigid Endoscopes at a reasonable cost with no loss of quality. With 30 years experience between us we used our redundency money to purchase all the relevent tooling from Rimmer Brothers in london as we new Peter Rimmer was retireing. Training had allready been completed when working with previous company and Scholly Fibre Optic were happy to supply us with a licence and the supplies of any parts, equipment and any further training required.

9 years down the line and we now have a good customer data base in the south east.
We can offer the same quality as major manurfacturers at a lower cost due to not having the major overheads of a corporate company.
Repairs of all the major makes of Rigid Endoscopes avalible Storz, Olympus, Aesculap, RB Medical, Dyonics, Comeg etc.
We are one of only a few comapnys in the UK that are actually licenced to carried out repairs on Rigid Endoscopes.
We have won awards for being the Best Newcomer to Bussiness in Essex
Turnaround times have not increased due to the increase of work.
We have some loan scopes avalible however this is rarly required.
We can offer upgrades or new Endoscopy equipment and accsessorys if required.

Be Aware

Poorly repaired Endoscopes

We have seen an increase in Endoscope repairs that have been poorly repaired. These Endoscopes have been sealed using methods in which will break down over time causing moisture ingress throughout the Endoscope damaging the integral parts which provide the scope with a good picture.

We have also seen Endoscopes with poor non-original components fitted, these parts are cheap replacement parts which affect the Endoscopes performance. We have seen Endoscopes that have been set up incorrectly, the focus and angle of view have been out of tolerance.

Check list for the repair of your Endoscopes.

Ensure the company you are using are BSI registered
Ensure they are using high quality replacements parts
Ensure their technicians have completed sufficient training to carry out the repairs on your endoscopes
Inspect your endoscope when it comes back form repair, check there are no sharp edges
